Tom’s Thumb Wanderings
Pete and I spent the day exploring the McDowells, including scrambling around the granite boulders around Tom’s Thumb and rock climbing the feature itself. It’s a joy to get outside and see this part of the Sonoran Desert from a completely new perspective. Perfect weather combined with a perfectly cool breeze, plenty of wildflowers, and little crowds.
